Abstract/Description
This session will focus upon the current and emerging practices dedicated to limb preservation in Canada and Internationally. This session will include both surgical and conservative approaches to the prevention and management of conditions, such as peripheral arterial disease (PAD) and diabetes that contribute to the incidence of amputation, with an aim to support limb preservation and enhance quality of life. This panel will share advanced knowledge, explore principles of evidence-based practice and explore the integration of health policy development from the vantage points of a vascular surgeon and clinical nurse specialists who are currently working specifically in this field of practice.
