Barbie Murray

Bio
Barbie Murray has been practicing nursing for 38 years in acute, community and palliative care, as well as teaching in a variety of educational settings. After completing her Masters in Wound Care at UWO, Barbie served as Academic Dean of Nursing and Health Services at Victoria University in Uganda Africa. In 2013
she returned to Nova Scotia to coordinate a multidisciplinary program in Halifax, dedicated to the prevention and management of wounds of the lower extremities, which incorporates infectious disease, vascular, orthopaedic and plastic surgery. Barbie is currently the national President for Wounds Canada and is involved in a number of initiatives related to the development of evidenced-based practices for wound prevention and care.
