MSN, BScN, RN, WOCC(C)
During her 37 year nursing career, Laureen’s passion has been direct patient care. For the first 25 years after graduating with a diploma in nursing, she worked in a variety of acute care areas: including surgery, pediatrics and ostomy/wound care. During this time she completed her BSN and Enterostomal Therapy Nursing. The 5 years spent as an NSWOC at a tertiary acute care hospital was a career highlight and sparked a passion for staff education. Laureen went on to complete her Masters in Nursing in 2014. After leaving acute care and the bedside, she worked in a variety of educator, management and leadership positions including Clinical Nurse Specialist.
Following her recent “retirement”, Laureen is currently employed as Manager of Clinical Resources for Nightingale Medical Supplies where she provides clinical consultations with ostomy clients and support and resources to the other NSWOC Consultants.
