Rosemary Hill has been a nurse for over 30 years and works fulltime at Lions Gate Hospital – Vancouver Coastal Health as an NSWOC. In 2004, she completed the Wound Ostomy Continence program at Emory Medical University, Atlanta Georgia, and has been practicing within that role. Her past volunteer activities include a two year term (2016-2018) as President of Nurses Specialized in Wound Ostomy Continence Canada (NSWOCC). She participates on both BC provincial committees – Skin and wound & ostomy. Her experiences in wound and ostomy care, provided her with opportunities to speak nationally and internationally (Wounds Canada, WUWHS, EWMA , SAWC). Recently her volunteer activities have taken her to Argentina where she worked with a select group of Canadian NSWOCs to offer wound education. She was the recipient of the Award of Excellence in Practice from the Association of Registered Nurses of British Columbia (ARNBC).
