Visual: Blair speaking to camera from his living room Audio: But, you know, you have to look after yourself and your health is very important. Visual: Photograph of Blair standing indoors Audio: I try and be a proactive person. I really don’t want cancer to define who I am, and I try and live every day as best as I can. Visual: Background of lemon tree Audio: I really enjoy being able to talk to bladder cancer patients and their caregivers because the fear of the unknown is a horrible feeling, and when you’re armed with good knowledge it’s good because you feel like you have more control of your disease. Visual: Blair speaking to camera from his living room Audio: My personal journey through all this ordeal I’ve gone through over the last four and a half years has taught me to appreciate the finer things in life, the smaller things. Visual: Photograph of Blair in a car Audio: I would tell other patients and caregivers that are going through a similar journey such as mine to be thoughtful and be honest with yourself, and make that sure you discuss your disease. Visual: Photograph of Blair and his wife at their wedding. Portrait photograph of Blair with his wife and their son at about 3 years old.
