Teri-Anne Schroeder, RPN (Psychiatric), RN, BScN, NSWOC, WOCC(C), MCEd, IIWCC, HCL

Teri completed her NSWOC education in Vancouver, BC in 1981, following several years as an RPN RN in pediatric psychiatry and orthopedics. She worked for the Saskatoon health region for many years, covering 3 hospitals, numerous long-term care (LTC) facilities as well as outreach from Saskatoon to northern Saskatchewan.

With a local team, she developed and chaired the first professional Saskatoon Wound Management Interest Group (SWIG). She was an Assistant Professor to the Saskatchewan Collaborative Bachelor of Nursing (SCBScN) Program from 2007 until 2014. Presently, she is a faculty member of the Practical Nursing Program Saskatchewan Polytechnic.

Teri also offers an independent WOC consultant practice. She is an academic advisor ostomy with the WOC-EP program. In 2009, Teri was awarded the ET of the year award by Ostomy Canada. She participated in the NSWOC board as Regional Director for the Prairies and initiated regional educational meetings via telehealth.

She has participated in a variety of publications, position statements, conference, and workshop presentations. Teri’s particular areas of interest include mental health, recovery, and follow-up for persons with an ostomy. Her interests include dog sports and training, and a variety of art forms.
