42nd National Conference Networking Event
Did you know: Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs was the first full-length traditionally animated feature film and the first Disney animated feature film?
Whether you're a fan of the classics like Snow White, or prefer new Disney successes, we invite you to join us at the NSWOCC and NIAC partnered networking event "Decades of Disney" lip sync battle. We are excited about holding this networking event during our national conference, which is designed to bring nurses and aligned healthcare professionals together with industry representatives in order to:
-
Get to know each other better through a team event
-
Generate entertainment after the education program.
-
Have some fun!
How it works
NSWOCs, SWANs, and allied healthcare professionals team up with Industry Representatives to compete against other teams by performing a Disney-themed lip-sync demonstration at the Networking Event on Friday, May 5, 2023. Start by choosing one movie (cannot be the same as another team's), select a particular song you want to perform, then get practicing!
The competition will be judged on 3 categories:
-
Costumes and Makeup: Dress up to reflect the theme of your movie to receive a high score. The more creative, the higher the score!
-
Performance: Perform one song from the movie you choose. Choreograph your performance like a musical and lip-sync the lyrics! Try to incorporate all cast members to receive a great score. Props are encouraged!
-
Audience reception: This is a performance, after all. Make sure you choose your movie and songs wisely. Hint: The audience wants to sing along with the songs they recognize too!
Teams can be initiated by the nurses or the Industry representations, they must have at least one nurse and one industry representative and can have as many people as it takes to act out the lip sync number.
Interested in participating? After you register for the National Conference, email office@nswoc.ca to express your interest and we'll make sure to put you on a team.
