Lisa Marie Peacey RN, BScN, NSWOC
Lisa works as a Nurse Specialized in Wound, Ostomy and Continence (NSWOC) at Surrey Memorial Hospital in British Columbia, Canada. She works in a team of five clinicians to provide consultative services for admitted patients and for the hospital’s outpatient ostomy clinic. Her team provides education to both staff and patients, and they take great pride in participating in quality improvement initiatives. Lisa began her nursing career in internal medicine. After some years, she enrolled in the Wound, Ostomy and Continence Nursing program at Emory University in Georgia, USA. Lisa transferred to Home Health to work as a wound clinician after completing her training. She returned to acute care in her current role at Surrey hospital in 2014. For a number of years, Lisa also worked for a private ostomy clinic. She is a current member of the British Columbia Nursing Ostomy Committee.
