She graduated from nursing in 1989, completed the IIWCC in 2003, obtained her Bachelor of Nursing Degree in 2010 and completed her NSWOC certification in 2015.

She has a strong passion for wound and ostomy care and is always looking to establish networks within and outside of her province. She feels it is important to promote the education opportunities that are available to her colleagues in the areas of wound, ostomy and continence in order to achieve positive patient outcomes.

As an avid patient advocate, she strives to provide patients and their families with the knowledge, skills and supplies necessary to manage their wound or ostomy and promote preventative health measures to reduce risk of wound reoccurrence and minimize ostomy complications.
