Welcome to the NSWOCC 43rd National Conference! We're delighted to have you join us for this exciting event. To ensure you have the best possible experience, here's a detailed guide with all the essential information:
1. Conference Venue:
The NSWOCC 43rd National Conference will be held at the Hyatt Regency Calgary, located at 700 Centre St S, Calgary, AB T2G 5P6. Specifically, the conference will take place on the 3rd Floor of the hotel.
Upon arrival, please proceed to the 3rd floor, where the registration desk will be situated just outside the elevators and escalators.
For a visual preview of the conference venue, you can visit Hyatt Regency Calgary 3D Tour.
2. Parking:
For attendees driving to the hotel, parking is available in our underground self-service parkade, conveniently located on Centre Street between 7th and 8th Avenues.
Once you've checked in at the hotel, please inform the front desk that you've parked your car. They will activate your room key card, granting you 'in and out' privileges for the parkade.
Parking costs $32/day for hotel guests and can be charged to your guestroom. For non-guests, the rates are $35/day for self-parking or $45/day for valet.
Please note that parking spots in the parkade are available on a 'first-come, first-served' basis, and we cannot guarantee availability each day.
Additionally, the hotel is connected via the Plus 15 to the Calgary TELUS Convention Centre, providing another parking option. Access their parkade on 1st Street, heading south, between 7th and 8th Avenues. The convention centre offers underground parking at a rate of approximately $22/day.
Another nearby parking option is The Bow Parkade, situated off of 5th Avenue SE, with an early bird rate of approximately $27/day.
3. Meals:
Registered attendees for Thursday, Friday, or Saturday will be provided with a hot breakfast and lunch during the conference.
Those attending on Wednesday will need to arrange their breakfast and lunch independently.
On Sunday, a continental breakfast will be provided for attendees.
Food stations will be available after the Annual Members Meeting on Thursday evening for the "Posters, Products, and Punch" special event.
4. Dress Code:
While there is no strict dress code for the National Conference, we expect attendees to dress appropriately for the event.
Given our theme inspired by Calgary's reputation as "Cow Town," some attendees may opt for a subtle western, country flair. Alternatively, business casual or smart casual attire is also acceptable.
For the NSWOCC Country and Western Sing, Stomp, and Honky-Tonk! Networking Event on Friday night, we encourage registered attendees to dress in country/western attire to their comfort level.
For those pre-registered for the NSWOCC Banquet and WOC Institute Graduation on Saturday night, formal attire is requested for this special occasion.
5. Pre-Conference Workshops:
Please note that the Pre-Conference workshops on Wednesday, May 1 are now full for those who pre-registered to attend the conference as a "Full Conference Registrant" or as a Daily Registrant for Wednesday only and specifically signed up for one or more workshops on Wednesday, May 1.
Only those who pre-registered and signed up for the workshops are guaranteed a spot due to limited space and equipment, ensuring the best educational experience for attendees.
Confirmation emails for the workshops have already been sent to those individuals.

If you require assistance with checking in, please visit the registration booth where you can obtain the necessary code.
7. Conference Photography:
Please note that there will be a conference photographer at the NSWOCC 43rd National Conference who will be taking photos within the public areas of the National Conference for the purpose of being used in social media posts and in sharing a post-conference photo album. These photographs may be utilized for promotional purposes related to the conference. If you prefer not to be photographed, please request a red sticker to be placed on your conference badge upon registration. This will indicate to our photographers that you do not wish to be included in any photographs and we will do our best to avoid photos of you.
