We look forward to welcoming you to the NSWOCC 43rd National Conference at the Hyatt Regency in Calgary, Alberta, from May 1-5, 2024. The theme, “Rising to the Challenge,” underscores our commitment to advancing specialized care in wound, ostomy, and continence care.
This conference brings together professionals dedicated to enhancing patient care, such as NSWOCs, SWANs, physicians, RNs, NPs, RPNs, and other allied healthcare professionals. With a special focus on primary care physicians and nurses with a dermatology interest, the event aims to foster collaboration and learning across diverse healthcare domains. Your support is crucial in making this educational gathering possible, and we want to express our gratitude for your commitment to NSWOCC and the continuous education of our members and healthcare professionals interested in wound, ostomy, and continence care.
Please find essential information below on registering representatives, accessing the conference app, updates on the exhibit hall floorplan and ordering site, networking opportunities, and more!

Networking at the National Conference
NSWOCC Country and Western Sing, Stomp, and Honky-Tonk!
Friday, May 3, 2024 from 6:30pm-9:30pm
Join us for an exhilarating evening at the NSWOCC 43rd National Conference Networking Event on Friday, May 3, 2024, from 6:30 pm to 9:30 pm. The evening kicks off with a lively open networking period at a saloon-inspired Venue at the Hyatt Regency Calgary Hotel called the Thompson Social Hub where we hope you'll be dressed to impress in your best western/country themed attire! Our Conference Planning Committee Members and Board of Directors will be there to greet you.
The casual event will provide the perfect setting for networking, casual conversations, or team collaboration in preparation for the exciting competition ahead.
Get ready for a unique showdown as pre-formed teams of NSWOCs, SWANs, and other healthcare professionals, captained by industry members, showcase their creativity in the competition. Teams will incorporate crowd engagement elements into their performances, with judges providing scores and the audience choosing a People’s Choice Award on the Conference app. After the competition, the night concludes with a lively line dance session to favourite Country and Western hits, bringing the entire audience together for a fun and dynamic experience.
Don't miss this opportunity to connect, compete, and celebrate with colleagues at the NSWOCC 43rd National Conference Networking Event. Learn more below, or visit https://www.nswoccconference.com/ for full details.
How it works
Each team is captained by an Industry Member and joined by participants attending the conference.
Teams are led by Industry Members and include conference participants.
To create a team, use the submission form at https://www.nswoccconference.com/networking-event#create-a-team.
Participants join teams at https://www.nswoccconference.com/networking-event#join.
Industry teams must submit a country and western song before the National Conference.
Ideally, we aim for 6-8 teams up to a max of 25 members each.
When a participant joins a team, NSWOCC shares their contact info with the Industry Member captain. That captain will contact the new participant to welcome them to the team.
Team members, along with the captain, coordinate their performance.
